Carmella and Frank met in high school. When we asked her about it, she said, "He was a grade above me; I think I always loved him. We didn't date, but we kept finding each other every two years. It was destiny."

The inspiration for the big day was the dress. Carmella's beautifully designed Claire Pettibone vintage inspired gown was the center of it all. "It changed the way I looked at everything."

The vintage vibe radiated throughout the day. The carefree, colorful bouquets of summer field flowers paired perfectly with the bridesmaids' dresses--each in a different color. Birdcage veils, matching shoes and jewelry pulled the look together.

Carmella's bouquet was a pop of color and whimsy during the traditional Catholic ceremony. Yarrow, chamomile, cornflower, sunflowers, and thistle among others, made up the show-stopping bunch.

Marc Anthony Photography shot the happy couple and their party at the Philadelphia Naval Yard. The location was perfect for them as Frank was in the Navy and both Carmella's grandparents worked on the yard during and after World War II.

Tiny vintage inspired frames, bud vases of purple gomphrena, and a customized sign, sporting the couple's name decorated the escort card table.

The reception made everyone step straight to the 1930s with a different vignette on each table. Teapots, pearls, lace gloves, books and other trinkets were gathered by Carmella, with the help of her mother and grandmother, for over a year leading up to the wedding. Each floral piece was different but mimicked the flowers in the bouquets. The bright natural elements jumped off the vintage lace table overlays.

At the end of the night, guests departed with cigars and Lucky Strike cigarettes to remind them of the Golden Era and to further fuel the spectacularly executed time warp.

We would like to thank Carmella and Frank for allowing IFB to be part of their special day. Best Wishes for a long and happy marriage!
